'Pokemon Go' Update: 0.39 / 1.9.0 Patch Returns Capture Location Feature And Improves 'Plus' Performance

Niantic Labs claims that the upcoming update, currently in the works, will be fixing Pokemon Go Plus issues as well as returning the Capture Location feature.

Pokemon Go Plus was launched by Niantic a week ago, retailing at $35 - which got sold out on its pre-selling period on most (if not all) stores by the way, provides Pokemon Go trainers a wrist or pin accessor - depending on how you wear it, that allows the game to be played without walking like a phone zombie having faces glued to the screen while walking on the road. Re-sellers even took the opportunity of it being sold like hotcakes by upping the price to $100 on eBay as reported by GameRant.

Additionally, this new add-on device for Pokemon Go is hoped to bring back the sales numbers especially after the 79% player drop since it peaked back in July.

However, the excitement of Pokemon Go Plus' launch came to a halt when, what else, a number of complaints about compatibility was issued by the users. For instance, the accessory will not sync properly for Android.

No worries, we got upcoming Pokemon GO patches plus a feature return as bonus

Niantic just announced that they are currently working on updates for both iOS and android and a surprising return of a previously dropped feature:

Wait, what? No connectivity fixes for Android?

Based on Niantic's official announcement for the upcoming update, there is no highlighted mention of Android connectivity fixes, although it is still being hoped to come with the update via 'Minor bug fixes'. The good news, however, is that the Capture Location feature is coming back as well as allowing players to use Incense with the Plus accessory.
