BioShock: The Collection PC Version Will Receive A Patch Soon

BioShock: The Collection has been recently launched on all the major platforms. The project brings nostalgia especially on the loyal fans of the franchise. However, days after its official release, players found several problems on the game's PC version. These reported bugs were later identified as the previous bugs from the original game. Thankfully, community manager Joseph Brant posted on the Steam page about the upcoming patch that will attend to these said bugs.

According to Game Rant, Brant addresses several issues that affect both BioShock and BioShock 2 and also those several fan requested feature additions. As reported earlier, these bugs and the game community are not strangers anymore. Brant also revealed the list of issues that his team is currently working on. This includes:

  • General Mouse Fixes, including better Mouse Smoothing, Sensitivity and Acceleration Options inBioShock;
  • Additional Speaker Mode Options in Audio Settings in BioShock;
  • Improved FoV Slider Options in BioShock, BioShock 2 and Minerva's Den;
  • Support for 21:9 display ratios in BioShock, BioShock 2 and Minerva's Den;
  • General stability improvement to reduce instances of game crashes.

However, as seen from above, there is no timetable attached to any of the items listed. That means there is no definite date as to when the official release of the upcoming patch is. Based on the reports from VG247, Brant said that they are happy to address the feedback that they have received from the fans. He also added that they will make sure that the gaming experience of all remastered versions are to be as enjoyable as possible.

On the other hand, 2K has been adding a new element to encourage veteran players to jump back into the game. With the new Golden Film Reels, players are encouraged to hunt some collectibles that are scattered throughout the first game of the collection. It is said to be a requirement to unlock commentary videos from the director. Alongside Ken Levine and Shawn Robertson, they gave fans some exciting insights into the series.

Meanwhile, for those who are planning on grabbing a copy of the PC version, you can check the minimum system requirements here.

BioShock: The Collection is now available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC.
