Pokemon GO Guide: How To Earn Pokecoins Like A Pro

Acquiring Pokecoins is just as important as catching monsters in Pokemon GO. Having such allows players to restock their inventories with important stuff like Lucky Eggs, Incense and Pokeballs, among others. In its most organic form, it's the in-game currency and can be acquired by completing various activities. Or, one of the easiest way, is to purchase them straight from the store. But of course, the latter isn't an easy road to take especially for those who find it hard to spend real-time money. Nevertheless, here's a guide that can help you out.

Defend A Pokemon GO Gym

Once Pokemon GO players reach level 5, they'll be asked to join a team -- namely, Mystic, Instinct and Valor. After which, they can choose to join either an unclaimed gym or one that has the same team color. As long as there's a Pokemon stationed in that area and they're successful in defending, trainers will be able to receive the so-called Defender Bonus -- something that rewards players with at least 10 free Pokecoins (as well as Stardust). This cycle happens every 20 hours or so. And since players can control a maximum of 10 gyms, earning 100 Pokecoins each day is really possible.

Visit Various Pokemon GO PokeStops

PokeStops aren't just about obtaining different Pokemon GO items. Players can always swing by at a few and grab a couple of free stuff. So instead of using Pokecoins to acquire several items, trainers can use PokeStops (blue squares on the in-game map) to their advantage. Once there, they can simply spin the icon so as to gather the items to their inventory. A single one refreshes every five minutes, allowing players to repeat the same process over and over again. So instead of using Pokecoins to obtain the likes of Lures, they can use PokeStops to do so.

Win Pokemon GO Battles To Control A Gym

If a Pokemon GO gym is already owned, players have to battle it out in order to claim it. Of course, it won't be that easy; hence players need to have concrete knowledge on how to defeat gym owners. Once successful, they just need to place their strongest Pokemon and win Defender Bonus for Pokecoins.
