"The Walking Dead" Predicted To Have The Same fate As That Of "Star Trek," Series Not Ending Anytime Soon
There have been reports claiming that during the Goldman Sachs Communacopia Conference, the AMC Network President, Josh Sapan, said that he doesn't see "The Walking Dead" going away anytime soon. He believes that the network has made a good choice with the series, and even be comparable to the Star Trek franchise.
Given the success of "The Walking Dead" and its spin-off series, "Fear the Walking Dead," he believes that the latter series is just the beginning of the many coming installments to be centred around "The Walking Dead" much like that of "Star Trek."
"Star Trek" has currently celebrated its 50th anniversary since its premiere and there still hasn't been any news of ending. It has had many adaptations and installments already, and Sapan believes that "The Walking Dead" will have about just the same fate as that. The network made no mistake in airing the series as it is set to produce more versions of its original in the coming years.
