The battle of specs is much more fun outside mainstream devices. This is proven by how worthy of praises and by how much heftier most phones outside Apple and Samsung are. One example of these is the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 5S.
Xiaomi Mi 5S Rumors
The most recent news about the Mi 5S is that it will come with Snapdragon Sense ID, an ultrasonic fingerprint reader placed underneath the display. This kind of scanning technology is also rumored to come to the next generation of iPhones, probably the iPhone 8, as well as the rumored Microsoft Surface Phone.
Aside from the display-embedded fingerprint scanner, the Xiaomi Mi 5S is also rumored to have another iPhone-like feature - Force Touch. This feature is similar to the iPhone's 3D Touch. It allows the phone to distinguish the amount of force the user is using, giving out varying options depending on the force applied to the screen. This means that the phone knows whether your tap is a soft tap, a regular tap, or a hard press. This is typically applicable to most parts of the phone.
The Xiaomi Mi 5S' camera samples were also 'leaked'. According to a source, Xiaomi's CEO was actually the one who posted the samples on Weibo. Needless to say, the captures are great and overall unsurprising. The device is expected to come with a dual camera system, as most flagship phones do this year. Furthermore, as described by the source, the Xiaomi Mi 5S will come with a 16 MP rear camera with 4 axis OIS and 6P lens with PDAF.
