Fans of "Destiny: Rise of Iron" have been filled with excitement as news revealed that two players have already taken down the formidable Aksis Arkon, Raid Boss in the Wrath of the Machine raid. Now everybody is wondering how to do that. Here is a step-by-step strategy guide to bring Aksis down.
Before everything else, here's a disclaimer: "Destiny: Rise of Iron" players who have taken down Aksis have 380- light levels; thus, this is also the recommended level for those who are planning to beat the raid boss. Those who are with 360 light level can do that but with great difficulty.
Another disclaimer: defeating Aksis Arkon will require team effort because the team needs to assign one member to gather the SIVA coming from the fallen Servitors which the other members are destroying. Every time the player picks up a SIVA piece, they need to throw it at the raid boss because they are more effective than runes.
While battling the Servitors, some members will be 'empowered'. Take note of this players because they will play a strategic part in killing Aksis. Place these empowered players in the three corners of the arena: middle, left and right. That's because when Aksis loses his force field, he will teleport to any of these locations. Once he appears in one of these areas, the 'empowered' player should immediately ride on his back and stun him. After that, all the team members should keep on assaulting him.
This stun and attack phase will continue as Aksis teleports in different areas of the arena. Here's a hint: he will only appear once in each area. Before he appears, a telegraph will appear on the screen to inform players where he will pop up next.
After this phase is over in "Destiny: Rise of Iron", a SIVA Density Critical will appear on the screen. Once it appears, the team must be ready to shield themselves from the wipe out. They can use the four pillars located at the back room as a shield. Players should communicate which pillar they will use because it is a waste to use two pillars in one run. Strategy is critical at this point because Aksis' defeat is already close at hand. After the wipe-out, players move in and use their full force to assault and totally damage Aksis.
A note of warning: Aksis has a 1 percent phase where he will launch another SIVA wipe-out. The team must inflict as much damage as possible in order to completely bring Aksis to his demise.
