Playtonic Games created Yooka-Laylee while Kickstarter funded the game, which is inspired by Donkey Kong and legendary N64 heroes, like Banjo and Kanzooie. It was listed last 2015 and it turned out to be a huge success.
Playtonic Games announced the latest news for the upcoming "Yooka-Layle" during the EGX expo in Burmingham, England, Attack of the Fanboy reported. The developers launched a trailer where they introduced the character Shovel Knight, which is a non-player character (NPC). As of now, it is still undetermined if it is a major or minor character.
"Yooka-Laylee" is a video game with a musical theme. It is noted to have cute graphics, which might have contributed to an already large following. The game consists of two characters named Yooka, who is a green dragon, and Laylee, who is described as a bat with a big nose.
The game consists of five immense and majestic different levels, Yooka and Laylee will use their supplementary of moves to conquer a enormous range of puzzles and finish challenges in search of Pagies, the gold prices used to unlock and open new playgrounds.

Additional characters in the upcoming title have the best names, according to reports. Characters include snakes with trousers, aptly named Trowzer the Snake, Blasto the bird and Kartos, which might be mistaken for the God of War, Kratos.
"Yooka-Laylee" is reportedly doing this name game right. Meaning, Playtatonic Games' characters are uniquely named.
Developers are not saying any more information regarding the latest game but Playtonic Games is without a doubt will create the latest craze.
Release Date and Availability
The game was supposed to be released on October this year but the developers thought that the game needed more polishing, so they moved the target launch date to the first quarter of 2017.
Creative Director Gavin Price said, "While we felt confident we could ship the game in October as originally planned, the team has decided that it would like to add a few extra months' to polish our schedule."
"Yooka-Laylee" will be available on both PlayStation and Xbox.
