GoPro had experienced wide success and popularity a few years back. However, it is also obvious that the glory days that it once had, are slowly becoming a thing of the past. As of now, statistics point to the company's 14 percent decrease in revenue as well as a $1.07 per share loss.
In the brighter side, things aren't really looking that bad for the near future of GoPro thanks to the upcoming Holiday season. Many new products are soon to be released which will likely be the savior that GoPro wishes to have.
New GoPro Cameras With Affordable Prices
The Hero5 Black ($399), the Hero5 Session ($299) and the Karma drone ($799) were just recently introduced by GoPro last September 19. The GoPro products are priced reasonably if one was to compare it to the Garmin camera priced at $499 and that of Sony's $399 pro camera.
What makes the near future brighter for GoPro is that it advocates affordability. The Hero Session that is worth $199 is living proof of it. A $4.99 online video storage is also announced by GoPro; a reasonable and very affordable price for cloud storage.
What This Means For GoPro's Future
If ever the trend for GoPro's new products go well, then a 23 percent revenue improvement for the company will most likely happen. However, it still depends on the marketability of the new cameras that it will sell for the coming Holidays.
The company needs to regain its former glory that it once had, take on newer marketing horizons by not limiting its target market to thrill seekers but also with average and normal photo takers. If GoPro manages to take off with this one, then surely, its future will be very stable.
