Destiny 2 Is Coming To PC, Claimed To Give A Brand New Feel

2 years ago, Destiny - an online-exclusive first-person shooter, was launched by Bungie and Activision. It was rolled out worldwide on Sep. 9, 2014, for the PS4, Xbox One, as well as the last generations Xbox 360 and PS3.

Destiny marked Bungie's 1st console franchise since Halo, and also the 1st game that has a ten-year arrangement between Activision and Bungie.

The game is set in "mythic science fiction" featuring multiplayer 'shared world' environment with RPG elements. Players are divided into PvE and PvP or players VS environment and player versus player respectively.

Here comes part 2

The sequel to Destiny is said to be coming to PC, as reported from several sources detected by Kotaku. A rumor, first cropped from NeoGAF earlier has been confirmed by developers "familiar with Bungie's plans," Kotaku also foresees Destiny 2 to "feel like a proper sequel."

A NeoGAF user claiming to have a connection with an Activision staff posted that they had somehow 'heard' that Destiny 2 would be coming out on PC with the console versions.

Though the original post was imprecise - the one posted said their friend "saw a presentation on another person's laptop" verifying the PC port. Kotaku says it has validated these speculations with their own inside sources.

Also, in 2012, contracts between Activision and Bungie stated that Destiny 2 would be launching on PC, in addition to "be compatible with the Xbox 360, Xbox 720 and the Sony PlayStation 4." - which were the console's 'terms' back then.

Vicarious Visions is also reported to be assisting with Destiny 2, since their final expansion was already launched last week. Kotaku also reports that the sequel might set entirely new planets to conquer, each filled with settlements and quests that is said to be a lot more engaging than the vanilla version of the game. Unfortunately, as of this writing, it is also reported that players cannot carry over their progress from Destiny, as told by Kotaku's sources.

Activision has no confirmation yet about the said sequel that dates beyond the 2017 launch date. Destiny is currently available for consoles only, particularly PS4 and Xbox One.
