'Bloodline' Season 3 News And Update: Danny Rayburn Is Back And Makes The Last Season Controversial And Explosive

Bloodline Season 3 is all about the consequences the Rayburns will face from their secrets in the past. Danny Rayburn return as a 'ghost" and a flashback figure while Nolan weighs in if he will be just like his father or will he be better.

Season 3 was announced to be the last season for the series. Fans are hoping for the series to push through after Ben Mendelsohn won Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series in the Emmys for his role as Danny Rayburn, but Cindy Holland, Netflix vice president of original content, has confirmed the show's cancellation.

"Bloodline season three will be the show's final season...Todd A. Kessler, Daniel Zelman and Glenn Kessler are thoughtful and visionary storytellers, who lead a prestigious cast that includes Kyle Chandler and Ben Mendelsohn, who have both garnered two Emmy nominations for their roles on the series. Together, with our collaborative partners at Sony Pictures Television, they created a seductive show that Netflix viewers worldwide love and continue to discover. We are looking forward to the exciting climax KZK have in store for the series conclusion in May 2017." Holland said in confirming the news.

Season 3 is said to be shortened from 13 to 10 episodes. The state's entertainment tax incentives will no longer cover the production of the series. This led fans to speculate that the cost of production could be the reason why the series is not renewed for another season. Todd A. Kessler, the show's executive producer, said "Netflix is evaluating how it's doing for them and how it's performing, and are very hopeful that there will be a future as are we." He explained, "We decided to set the show there ... because it's crucial to what the show is, not because of the tax incentive, but it does affect things financially for us and the show will be challenged because of that. It makes things more difficult."

Season 3 will premiere on Netflix on May 2017.
