Skyrim Remastered Update: Trophies, Achievements Arriving; New DLC Rumors False

It's no secret that Bethesda is set to release Skyrim Remastered later this year. The only thing, however, is that anything about it is scarce (though fans know it's a remaster, of course). But with the recent information the studio revealed, fans might finally have an idea of what it's all about.

According to Express, Bethesda's very own Pete Hines took to Twitter to confirm the arrival of Trophies and Achievements in Skyrim Remastered. These features, albeit different from each other, are the same across the consoles PS4 and Xbox One.

Later on, a Skyrim Remastered fan asked Hines regarding the so-called free PC upgrade scheme. Basically, players have been hoping for the same scheme to be applied, at least, on Xbox One. Unfortunately, it won't be happening. If players want to experience it on the said console, they have to buy it. "It's a new platform," Hines explained. The aforementioned, in its most organic form, is a copy of the original version of the game along with a total of three DLC packs.

As for players who want to know about the status quo of DLCs, Hines also confirmed that they'll arrive in Skyrim Remastered. That these downloadable contents will be integrated into the game as soon as it launches this year. So, in one way or another, this answers the ongoing question of whether or not the expansions will arrive as a pre-installed.

On the controversial Skyrim Remastered PS4 mods, Hines assured fans that they're doing their best to come up with an alternative. In fact, he mentioned that it's something that they don't lack in the studio. Of course, time can tell.

It's worth noting that Sony cancelled the mod support for their console, affecting both Skyrim Remastered and Fallout 4. Although the tech giant didn't offer an official explanation, Bethesda iterated that the decision to do so was not their fault.
