Fans of K-drama shows will have something new to watch out for as MBC's new drama series "Woman With A Suitcase" premiered last Monday, Sept. 26.
The 16-episode drama series stars actress Choi Ji Woo who plays the role of Cha Geum Joo and Joo Jin Mo as Ham Bok Geo. Other cast members include Jeon Hye Bin as Park HyeJoo and Lee Joon as Ma Suk Woo.
"Woman With A Suitcase" follows the story of Cha Geum Joo, a manager at an attorney's office who got arrested for breaking a lawyer code. Fortunately, she manages to rebuild herself and career with the help of Ham Bok Geo, a media rep who fell in love with her. Utilizing his trusted connections, Ham Bok Geo helps Cha Geum Joo to become a great lawyer and eventually opens her own law office.
"Instead of being a serious legal drama, it will cover the political, financial and entertainment circles, as well as social issues, the paparazzi, and ordinary people inside the legal circle," a representative from MBC noted.
The new drama series "Woman With A Suitcase" promises viewers an interesting plot as it portrays the stories of people working in courts. The show proves that this kind of profession is not only stiff and boring as usually imagined by many. It shows that lawyers fall in love too and will do anything to win in the game of love.
Meanwhile, "Woman With A Suitcase" kicks off with a good start as the series recorded 7.9 percent ratings on its pilot episode, beating the hit historical drama "Scarlet Heart: Ryeo," which ranked second. On the other hand, "Moonlight Drawn By Clouds" landed on the third spot.
As for its second episode, "Woman With A Suitcase" continues to prove their dominance as it gained 8.4 percent of viewership rating while "Scarlet Heart: Ryeo" only got 7.5 percent, according to reports.
With its current performance, "Woman With A Suitcase" is expected to be another huge success for Choi Ji Woo and Joo Jin Mo. Take a glimpse of the new drama series "Woman With A Suitcase" below.
