Keanu Reeves is coming back to reprise his role as the title holder in the upcoming second installment of "John Wick," following its first one back in 2014. The actor teases some details about his character and what is different this time.
"John Wick 2" To Explore Character's Entire Existence Internally; Action-Packed Film Confirmed
Just recently, a new poster has been revealed for the upcoming "John Wick 2" movie, featuring Keanu Reeves and a dog. The fans of the movie were so excited to see his character in the film to have a new companion. However, given the painful fate that his dog lived through in the first movie, they are also dreading the possibility of losing him again this time.
It can be recalled that John Wick is a paid assassin who was supposedly on retirement already, but had to go back to his old ways after his home was raided by a group of gangsters who killed his dog. In an interview with the actor, Reeves said that his character in the film will not just be a vengeful hitman but also a normal human being who is having struggles internally about his entire being.
He struggles between being the married guy who just lost is wife and the guy who is the assassin that he is seeking out revenge for what happened in his life. This was confirmed by director Chad Stahelski who said that John Wick's character will definitely be further explored in the upcoming film.
"John Wick 2" To Release First Official Trailer Next Month?
Nevertheless, it has been assured that "John Wick 2" will be filled with more action, even twice as much as the first one. Some of the original characters will also be back, along with introducing new ones as well.
The first movie wasn't an instant hit when it aired, however it became a success after having good reviews from the viewers. The movie is still centred around the protagonist, John Wick, an assassin who is in seek of vengeance after the fate of his wife in the first film.
The movie is set to have a panel on October 8, during the New York City Comic-Con where the first trailer could possibly be released. The movie is set to hit theatres on February 2017.
