Honda launched the Civic Type R's prototype on 2016 Paris Motor Show last Sept. 29. The automaker said that the latest Civic model will be making its way to the U.S. market and the prototype will make its debut on SEMA 2016 that will happen on Nov. 1 - 4 in the Las Vegas Convention Center.
Honda Civic Type R 2017 is dubbed the "future king" in Paris since it is expected to be delivered in the second half of 2017. It will be manufactured in Honda's Swindon plant in United Kingdom.
According to High Snobiety, Honda's iconic red "H" badge which is present on Type R cars of the Japanese automaker will be at the grille at the nose of the car.
The suggested design of latest model will be a little different than the actual version of Civic Type R. But this is not a false advertisement rather than an idea of what to expect.
Honda elaborated that it borrowed from Civic Hatchback the "wide and low proportion." Its exterior is a reflective, brushed aluminum. According to CNET, It also has undersized sized mirrors.
The wheels measure at about 20 inches with red accents and have been outfitted with 245-section high-performance tires. According to Slash Gear, there is carbon fibers present between those tires and the red accents found in tires continues to the bottom of the car.
The Honda Civic Type R has smoked lenses for the headlights and an air intake on the hood. The sporty design suggests that the Japan automaker's newest car is a beast waiting to be unleashed.
"We promised the most ambitious, sportiest Civic lineup ever and we're delivering on that promise with each new Civic," said Jeff Conrad, the senior vice president and general manager of the Honda Division of American Honda Motor Co.
