The MacBook Pro 2016 may not be coming soon enough, but reports suggest that it is definitely coming in the next few weeks.
According to a rumor picked up by 9to5Mac, the MacBook Pro 2016 is going to be revealed at a keynote event on Oct. 24. It should be noted though that the authenticity of this tip cannot be determined, so fans are advised to take this with a grain of salt.
Although there are some doubts over this date, the report noted that a late October MacBook Pro 2016 reveal is highly likely. This will not be the first time that Apple has unveiled major upgrades during this month.
A previous Bloomberg report also cited sources who claimed that the Cupertino-based company is planning on releasing new Mac products in October, but did not indicate a specific date.
As of now, there is no telling when the MacBook Pro 2016 could arrive as Apple is usually tight-lipped about its product releases. Some reports even say that the launch could be pushed back to a later date depending on the development of the macOS Sierra.
MacOS Sierra Beta Stage
The next operating system (OS) Sierra is at the beta stage right now, with an intended finalization date at the end of next week. The last beta version is planned for release sometime next week, if rumors are to be believed.
If everything goes according to plans, it is expected that the next-generation MacBook Pro, which will sport the latest OS, will be ready to be revealed and eventually, to be shipped by the second half of October.
Nonetheless, there is a high chance that the MacBook Pro 2016 is taking center stage in October. Fans should see a revamped Apple laptop with an OLED touch bar on top of the keyboard, a new keyboard mechanism and a thinner chassis.
