Metro: Last Light – Uncut E3 2012 Video Arriving On July 17

THQ and 4A Games announced that an uncut HD video of their upcoming post-apocalyptic action-oriented title “Metro: Last Light” will be arriving on July 17. This new video will feature gameplay footage from this year’s E3 and in order to celebrate the team’s successful campaign.

“Metro: Last Light” made a huge impact at this year's E3 in downtown Los Angeles, CA, taking home multiple nominations and awards across a multitude of categories. The game was judged as the Best Horror title by NeoSeeker, Most Valuable Game by both the Official XBOX Magazine and PC Gamer and the Best of E3 by both Electric Playground and GamerNode.

It was also nominated for the Best Shooter Category by Machinima and NeoSeeker and by Gaming Excellence for Best Graphics, Best Shooter, Best Multi-Platform Console Game and Game of the Show.

The game is set in the year 2034 and, according to the official website, “Beneath the ruins of post-apocalyptic Moscow, in the tunnels of the Metro, the remnants of mankind are besieged by deadly threats from outside – and within.”

“Mutants stalk the catacombs beneath the desolate surface, and hunt amidst the poisoned skies above. But rather than stand united, the station-cities of the Metro are locked in a struggle for the ultimate power, a doomsday device from the military vaults of D6. A civil war is stirring that could wipe humanity from the face of the earth forever,” the official page further adds. “As Artyom, burdened by guilt but driven by hope, you hold the key to our survival – the last light in our darkest hour…”

“Metro: Last Light,” which is a sequel to “Metro 2033,” is expected to arrive in the first quarter of 2013 on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.

Remember to stay tuned for the uncut video.
