With a few weeks left before the NBA season starts, trades among players have just gotten more interesting and not yet at all final for some of them. One of them is Josh Smith to allegedly join Cleveland Cavaliers.
Josh Smith Struggling To Find A Team To Join In Weeks Before NBA Season Starts
Josh Smith is currently at the prime of his basketball career and is now transferring from one team to another. He was pursued by many teams last year and ended up joining the Los Angeles Clippers, yet did not work out so well so he was with Houston Rockets during last year's NBA season. It begs the question as to where he is off to now, since he hasn't signed yet weeks before the NBA training camp begins.
There have been speculations that Josh Smith may be having difficulties with chemistry among his teammates, hence not being able to be signed despite being close to the start of the NBA Season. However, he is now allegedly eyeing to join Cleveland Cavaliers, after choosing the Clippers over them during the previous trade-off. It would be a best fit for Smith to join the Cavaliers this season.
Josh Smith May Be Eyeing For Cleveland Cavaliers In Replacement For Timofey Mozgov
With Timofey Mozgov now with the Los Angeles Lakers under a $64-million dollar deal, Josh Smith might just be the best replacement for him in Cleveland Cavaliers. Among the remaining free agents to date, Smith has been ranked fourth best player available. Getting so close to the NBA season already, Smith has to make a decision as to which team he decides to join after hopping from team to team recently.
Cleveland Cavaliers is now the reigning champions and a player like Smith would be a great asset for the team to have a chance in winning the title again this season. Mozgov was a great loss for the Cavaliers and will definitely need someone like Smith to partner with Tristan Thompson to guard the low post.
There still hasn't been an official announcement to Josh Smith joining the Cavaliers or any other team at that, but given the circumstances, it looks like it will be the best way for him to go.
