While rumors surrounding Apple's next generation iPhone are getting bigger with every passing day, Verizon Wireless has somewhat confirmed that it's coming very soon. The nation's biggest network provider has indicated that iPhone 5 is coming in the fourth quarter this year.
During the company's earnings call on Thursday, Verizon's chief financial officer, Fran Shammo, dropped a hint about Apple's next big release, iPhone 5. He gave a vague reference to a major phone that the carrier will be launching in the last quarter of the year. Shammo said that "of course there's always that, uh, rumor mill out there with a new phone coming out there in the fourth quarter, so people may be waiting."
While the 'new phone' can also be the next Nexus phone, we pin our hope to "new iPhone."
According to various other source, Apple's next iPhone is expected to be released anytime between September and October and it will sport bigger screen, Quantum Dot LED curved glass with 16:9 Aspect Ratio display and 1,136x640 resolution, 367ppi pixel density, iOS 6.0, A6 or "a variation of the A5X's S5L8945X architecture" processor, 1GB RAM, bigger battery and will support 4G or LTE network.
Some latest report from WSJ, meanwhile, claimed that Apple's next generation iPhone is already in production and the Cupertino tech giant will use the in-cell touch display technology to reduce the thickness and weight of the device. Japan's Sharp and South Korea's LG, have reportedly begun production of the next-generation displays. Another report from Financial Times has also claimed that mobile operators in Europe are stockpiling nano-SIM chips that are especially designed for Apple's next generation iPhone.
