The iPad Mini 5 is bound to come anytime soon, considering that it has been a full year since Apple launched its predecessor. Although the Cupertino tech company has kept mum about their mini tablet, fans are expecting a release in the coming months.
iPad Mini 5 Release Date
The iPad Mini 5 was a no-show at the recent Sept. 7 event, in which the new generation of iPhone and Apple Watch were revealed. Some are losing hope that Apple has decided to axe their mini tablet line-up in favor of their phablets, but rumors suggest that it will arrive in March 2017.
The tech giant is also reportedly going to unveil the new iterations of the iPad Pro and the iPad Air by then.
iPad Mini 5 Specs
It is rumored that Cupertino-based company is planning on borrowing the specs of the iPhone 7 then put it on the iPad Mini 5. This would mean that an A10 chip with 2GB of RAM are on the pipelines. Additionally, there are also talks of the 3D Touch panel being integrated into the mini tablet, International Business Times reported.
Also, if Apple is intent on borrowing most of the pages of the iPhone 7, then consumers may see the 3.5mm headphone jack fall out of the next iteration of the iPad Mini.
iPad Mini 5 Camera
Although there are a lot of expected significant changes, the camera department is expected to stay the same. Meaning, the 8MP rear camera and 1.2MP front-facing snapper combination on the latest mini tablet can be expected to make a second appearance.
iPad Mini 5 Price
As of now, reports regarding the price are scarce, but it has been suggested that the iPad Mini 5 may come with a $450 price tag for the 32GB model, which might be the new minimum storage. For comparison, its predecessor's 16GB model was sold for $399 at launch.
Fans are advised to take these rumors with a grain of salt since there is no way these can be confirmed for now.
