A recent report from TMZ indicated that Toni Braxton was admitted to an L.A. hospital after being initially examined by a doctor in Atlanta.
Ongoing Health Problem
The singer is reportedly battling with lupus and is in a serious condition before being hospitalized. But a rep said that she is in a better condition now and is looking forward to starting her rehearsals for her upcoming tour.
The report also indicated that the singer has stayed in the hospital for four days. But it is still unclear whether she was transported by an ambulance or just checked herself in.
Birdman Rushed In For Support
Upon hearing the news, Birdman, who was in Texas, immediately hopped on a jet and rushed to her side. The two began dating seriously early this year. Braxton revealed his battle with lupus to her fans in 2010.
Earlier, TMZ reported that the singer and TV star is in "serious condition" due to complications brought about by her bout with lupus and was admitted at an Atlanta hospital.
This latest episode is not the first time the Grammy-winning artist has been hospitalized due to her battle with lupus. She was treated for blood clots caused by her condition in December 2012. The procedure was done in a hospital where she spent a week recuperating.
Now Recuperating
A recent update indicated that the famous singer has already been released from the hospital and is now doing fine.
"Toni is resting at home and she is fine. She was in an L.A. hospital for a few days, being treated for her Lupus. She has been released and starts rehearsals for her upcoming tour this week," a rep of the singer told E! News.
"She was not in serious condition, though Lupus is a serious disease and must be monitored at all times," the rep added.
