Amazon Echo BT Problems, How to Solve It?

Amazon Echo was the first smart home device launched even before Apple and Google, but it seems that Echo is having problems and consumers are not pleased with the performance.

Amazon Echo was introduced in United Kingdom and Germany.

Amazon Echo And Its British Telecom (BT) Problems

Amazon Echo recently expanded its manufacturing in United Kingdom with a price tag of £149. Consumers were happy to have one Echo for their homes. But later, the consumers discovered that it has problems connecting to their BT router.

Several U.K. consumers commented on Amazon's website but it seems that some of the comments are negative. Angry customers posted tweets about their disappointment with Echo.

Most of the comments have the same content saying that Amazon Echo is a smart home device that can control music, notify the user with traffic and alarms, toggle the lights and even crack jokes but cannot connect with BT router.

Internet connection is needed in using Amazon Echo and British people use BT as their internet router. Amazon is already addressing the problem. According to Business Insider, Amazon is expected to respond with the problems of Echo in U.K.

How To Fix BT Problems?

Several consumers are subscribers of BT internet provider. They ordered Amazon Echo and tried to set it up and connect it with BT Home Hub. Unfortunately, it will not connect. When Amazon Echo interacts with BT Home Hub, it seems that all information processed is wrong.

According to Pocket Lint, connecting BT Home Hub with Amazon Echo is very easy.

- First is to open Echo's normal setup process and follow the instructions indicated. The consumer will need to download the app on iTunes or Google Play Store.

- Choose the Wi-Fi network that can be used, whether using a phone or a PC.

- Manual setup is more efficient than automatically connecting the two together.

- Pick Manual setup. Enter BT Home Hub's details.

- Copy the important details asked by Amazon Echo such as IP Address, Router, Subnet Mask, DNS 1 and DNS 2.

After following the steps, Amazon Echo will surely work and connect to BT Home Hub properly.
