‘Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life’ Spoilers & Updates: Lauren Graham Teases Tear Jerking Episodes; Last Four Words Finally Revealed

Eight years after the curtains closed on "Gilmore Girls," Netflix picked up the well-loved family comedy-drama as part of its Originals series. The four-episode series entitled "Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life" will make its debut on Nov. 25.

Lauren Graham, who plays Lorelai in the hit family drama, remarked that the "Gilmore Girls" revival is a real tearjerker. The reboot will feature most of the townies in Stars Hollow and Amy Sherman-Palladino, the original series creator, would take over the reboot.

"Gilmore Girls" Reboot

After the disappointing finale of "Gilmore Girls," fans of the series have been reeling for another season because of too many unanswered questions since Sherman-Palladino left the show before the seventh and final season. She confirmed, however, that the events in the final season would be part of the revival although she would be exploring other storylines.

Gossip Sheets noted that most of the original cast of the series, including Alexis Bledel and Graham who play the role of Rory and Lorelai respectively, would appear in the reboot. Also, there's grandmother Emily who would be portrayed by Kelly Bishop. Rory's bestfriend Lane Kim, played by Keiko Agena, will be on the show as well as Scott Patterson, who plays Luke Danes. Melissa McCarthy also confirmed her comeback as Sookie, Lorelai's BFF.

"A Year In The Life" Storyline

Edward Hermann who played as Richard Gilmore died in 2014 and the reboot will pay homage to him and would show his family in a cemetery. There are also rumors that one of the girls could be expecting due to a teaser.

"Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life" would take a look at how the Gilmore girls are faring. Emily would need to deal with Richard's death while Lorelai needs to deal with the new challenges that come with being an independent woman. Rory would be facing what a 30-something woman does when life doesn't turn out the way she wants it to.

Despite the fact that the "Gilmore Girls" reboot is just four 90-minutes episodes, there is a possibility of more "Gilmore Girls" based on the finale. With Netflix's move to go for original creations, another full season is possible.

Among the things that "Gilmore Girls" fans are clamoring for is the original finale that Sherman-Palladino had in mind. The final four words would finally be revealed after almost a decade. Nonetheless, fans need to wait just a bit longer before the show is released on Netflix on Nov. 25 at 12.01 a.m. PT.
