Toshiba has launched the successor of its T-01D, Regza T-02D smartphone. The latest Toshiba phone will be available in Japan from NTT DOCOMO, from July 26, 2012.
Regza T-02D, the water and dust-resistant smartphone, sports a 4.3-inch qHD new AMOLED plus display, a dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor clocking at 1.5GHz, 1GB RAM and runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The phone also allows users to simply press and slide a finger across a switch to quickly unlock it. The screen can also be turned on and off using the switch, enabling one-touch operations.
The phone will come in pink, black, and blue color.
The most interesting feature of the phone, however, is its camera which is a whooping 13.1 megapixel primary snapper that uses Exmor R sensor with the same backlit technology used in Sony's Cybershot compact cameras. Moreover, Toshiba packs in the "Milbeaut Mobile" image processing engine that incorporates a wide range of photography capabilities, including high-sensitivity capturing and noise reduction. The combination of these features allows for stunning high-resolution photographs and videos.
The phone's camera is highly responsive as the shot-to-shot wait time is only 0.5 seconds so that users don't miss capturing every moment.
In addition, T-02D camera can extend up to ISO 25600-equivalent high sensitivity to take perfect images at night time or low-light situation. A 1.3-megapixel front camera is also there in the phone.
Pricing details of the phone are still unknown.
