'Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2' Manga Version: What We Know So Far

Die-hard fans of the hit franchise "Dragon Ball" will have something new to look out for as "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" will have its own manga version alongside the upcoming game.

According to reports, the manga version will be called "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2: The Manga" and will be included in the game's Collector's Edition. "Dragon Ball Z's" official Facebook page recently released the announcement along with the new "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" manga cover.

"The collector's edition of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will include the Time Patroller's Guide, an awesome artbook including an exclusive manga! For the first time, you can see its cover!"

The 10-page manga also teased the first page, making fans anticipate its release even more. Meanwhile, reports claim that the illustrations in the said manga are excellent and have adhered to the "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" game. Although the plot of the story remains unclear, fans speculate that it will be about the Saiyan Time Patroller.

"Dragon Ball" creator Akira Toriyama also made a separate announcement, saying, "I've been drawing manga less often these days, Toyotaro has taken up the mantle of drawing Dragon Ball. I still continue the basic story ideas, but Toyotaro's wonderful skills allow the Dragon Ball universe to be brought back to life in the present."

To recall, Toyotaro has already created several "Dragon Ball" spinoffs and related manga contents. He also created some of the "Dragon Ball Super" manga releases.

For now, "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2: The Manga" is intended not to be sold separately from the game. However, fans hope that the manga will be a standalone franchise and will be sold separately from the "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" game in the future.

"Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" is set to release on Oct. 25 on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC via Steam. The collector's edition which includes the manga costs $149.96 while the standard edition will be for $59.99 on Amazon.
