Busan One Asia Festival Kicks Off With Stunning Performances From Psy & Other Famous K-pop Stars

Famed K-pop artists made an amazing jumpstart in the Busan One Asia Festival as they wowed the huge crowd with their thrilling numbers.

The grand event marks the annual celebration of the Korean culture world festival that aims to reminisce and cherish the resurgence of K-Pop in the ‘90s to its international acclaims in the present.

The contribution of the Korean culture especially in the entertainment industry is crucial and is widely accepted in a global scale. To nurture and strengthen its rich legacy show that Korea adheres in maintaining its standards of excellence in all aspects.

A report noted that 15 K-pop groups and stars showcased their epic performances at the Busan Asiad Stadium. The concert staged the talents of Psy, Girls' Generation, B1A4, Block B, Sechs Kies, B.A.P., INFINITE, DIA, Lyn, LaBoum, Girl's Day, I.O.I., T-Ara, APink and MFBTY.

Not only did a huge population of Koreans grace the highly anticipated occasion, other nationalities also joined the fun in support to their favorite Korean celebrities.

Rahman Khairi, a Singaporean student, was said to watch the festival mainly to witness APink’s presentation.

"I came to see the girl groups perform. In Singapore, K-pop boy bands like EXO and BIGBANG are very popular."

One of the show’s highlights is the video appearance of a prominent Hallyu star both in Korea and in the US, singer and actor Rain (Jung Ji-hoon).

The “Ninja Assassin” actor shares his thoughts on his massive success and the honor and pride he brings back to his country.

“I felt something in particular when performing in concerts. It’s this mindset of representing Korea no matter where I go, and that I should work hard. It’s something that many other artists who promote overseas also probably think.”

The 2016 Busan One Asia Festival is a three-week affair and offers various activities in music, food, cosmetics and conducts cultural conferences.
