The working title for the upcoming "Wolverine 3" was just recently revealed by Wolverine himself, Hugh Jackman. In a post he made on his Twitter account, he revealed a billboard photo for the upcoming film with the caption "LOGAN."
Hugh Jackman Reveals Working Title For Upcoming Wolverine Film, "Logan"
Just this Wednesday morning, actor Hugh Jackman, who plays Wolverine in the "X-Men" movie franchise, posted a photo of a billboard in the district of Manhattan, captioning it with the name "LOGAN," all in bold letters. This has then become an iconic reveal of the working title for his upcoming film, previously known as "Wolverine 3."
Wolverine was initially given the name of James Howlett but he sometimes goes with the name Logan in honor of his biological father whose name was Thomas Logan. This then pushed the fans to the conclusion that when Jackman posted that reveal on Twitter, "Logan" was already the title name of his upcoming film.
Aside from Jackman, the director of the film James Mangold also teased a portion of the movie. This was when he tweeted a photo of the second page of the screenplay last Tuesday. The next day, the official poster and working title of the film was then released to the public eye.
Upcoming Film "Logan" To Have A Different Edge From Previous Movie Installments And Franchise
In an interview held with Hugh Jackman, he revealed that they have already finished filming for the movie, and the production team is now editing it, preparing its finish. The actor also teased there will be something in connection to the movie that will be released next week, but doesn't tell the audience what it is. Many fans of the movie franchise speculated that it could be the official trailer, but resulted to the working title "Logan."
Jackman also teased that the upcoming movie will have a different tone into it, something that will surprise the audience hopefully in a good way. As for now, that is all that the actor has teased about the movie.
"Logan" will be distributed by 20th Century Fox, to be released on March 3, 2017 in theatres.
