Ever since several virtual reality headsets are released, tech giants have been stammering to provide consumers new and unique experiences. Facebook acquired Oculus and developed its technology and created new features that will accompany Oculus Rift.
Oculus Rift's Possible Plans
Oculus Rift started the virtual reality game but was overthrown with the latest VR headsets. Even so, the company is very positive with its strategies in putting its VR headsets back in the game.
First, Oculus Rift's price can be discounted with a cool $100 since many gamers prefer affordable headsets that can give them the same experience over the expensive ones. However, in spite of the sale, the VR headset still comes out more expensive than PlayStation VR.
Then came HTC who released Vive that comes with two controllers, giving consumers a different VR experience. That is the reason why Oculus released Touch. The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has not yet approved the sale of Oculus Touch, but the company is positive that soon it will sell the controllers.
Third, Oculus can update its app that will help the Rift users in using the VR headset. The company could form a partnership with game developers appropriate for the headset and the controllers.
Oculus announced its new app that can provide new and exciting titles. With the latest updates of Oculus Rift, many gamers and tech-minded consumers will have a hard time on choosing what is the best VR headset and for sure, but Oculus Rift will be one of their options, according to Tech Radar.
Oculus Touch As A VR Enhancer
Last Oct. 5, VR game developers gathered for Oculus' third annual Connect Conference and launched Oculus Touch. Basically, Oculus Touch is a two handheld controllers that will provide Oculus Rift's users a whole new virtual reality experience.
Oculus Rift has strong competitors such as HTC Vive and Sony's PlayStation VR due for release next week. There are also affordable smartphone-based VR headsets, such as the Google Daydream Goggles that can only interact with Alphabet company's new Pixel phones, as per Khou.
