In the last few years, fans of the horror video game genre have been looking forward to the new "Five Nights at Freddy's" installments. However, the upcoming new installment "Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location" is delayed.
According to CommonSenseMedia, parents need to know Five Nights at Freddy's is a horror game that uses tension and jump scares in place of blood and guts -- and, as a result, is a lot scarier than many other titles. The sense of being trapped and defenseless in a small office quickly becomes real -- and when the animatronic characters jump out at you, you'll jump (and maybe scream). This makes the game much too intense for younger kids -- and teens should know what they're getting into.
Cawthon considered delaying the Five Nights at Freddy's Sister Location release to make twists on the game's "dark" story. He also fears that Five Nights at Freddy's Sister Location is too dark for young audience but most of the fans of Five Nights at Freddy's are young and are already too invested on the game's unsolved child massacre mystery. Cawthon said, "I'm going to release the 'mature' version of the game by itself, in sections, not as a part of the timeline, not as a part of the lore, and not as a part of the story; but just because I promised that I would. I promised a game, and don't want to be one of those developers who endlessly delays their game's release."
Fans speculate that maybe the issue with "Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location" was created to just carry on with the tradition. With the promised October 7 release just a day away, fans are looking forward whether "Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location" would indeed be released.
