Following the blockbuster success of the movie "Suicide Squad," Warner Bros. Pictures released a trailer depicting the deleted scenes from the film that was released in August. The trailer for "Suicide Squad: Extended Cut" is brief with a 26-second run time, and it mostly features the earlier days of Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn and Jared Leto's Joker.

"Suicide Squad" -- A Widely Panned Anti-Hero Blockbuster

The mashup of supervillains in a single movie was met with much criticism, but the film managed to become a solid box office hit as it grossed $739 million to date from worldwide screenings. The movie was part of Warner Bros.' massive efforts to utilize its access to its DC Entertainment library.

Director David Ayer created "Suicide Squad" using his own script, which told the world a story about a secret government agency that summoned imprisoned supervillains to fight supernatural forces and save the world in exchange for their clemency. The film starred Will Smith, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Viola Davis, Jai Courtney, Ike Barinholtz, Jay Hernandez, Scott Eastwood and Cara Delevingne.

The "Extended Cut" offers additional 13 minutes of unrevealed action, and it will come to Ultra HD Blu-ray, Blu-ray 3D Combo Pack, Blu-ray Combo Pack on Dec. 13 and to DVD and Digital HD on Nov. 15.

The "Suicide Squad: Extra Cut" in Ultra HD Blu-ray will be available at a $44.95 selling price, $44.95 for Blu-ray 3D Combo Pack, $35.99 for Blu-ray Combo Pack and $28.98 for the 2-disc DVD Special Edition. Fans can also purchase copies from legitimate digital retailers.
