The Jennifer Lopez Marc Anthony marriage officially ended five years ago. Their seven-year marriage was brought to a stop when they divorced in 2011. But Lopez and Anthony are getting back together again, not as a couple, but as business partners.
Lopez And Anthony Has Agreed On A New Business Deal
Magnus Media, Anthony's music label and Sony Music Latin recently announced that Lopez had agreed to a new business deal which will require the two companies to develop and create the upcoming Spanish language music album of the Latin diva. Lopez's album is set to launch in November.
According to E! News, the Jennifer Lopez-Marc Anthony deal will have Anthony acting as the executive producer, and his label will also "provide consulting services to Lopez in the areas of marketing, content development, and touring specifically for the Hispanic market."
This Spanish Album Will Be Lopez's First Since 2007
This new Jennifer Lopez-Marc Anthony deal will produce Lopez's first Spanish-language album since 2007. That last Spanish album she recorded was "Como Ama Una Mujer." When it was first released, it became the fifth Spanish album to reach the top 10 chart of the Billboard 200.
That record, which was also co-produced by Anthony, was recognized as the highest-debuting Spanish album by a female artist and that distinction has not been broken yet to this time.
Lopez Is Happy Working With Anthony Again
"I am so excited and really looking forward to this new musical journey and to celebrate my Latin roots with Marc Anthony and the Sony/Magnus family," said Lopez in a statement to Billboard.
"It is an honor to welcome Jennifer to the Magnus Family," said Anthony. "She has had enormous accomplishments in her career and has been representing our culture all over the world from day one," he added.
If all goes well, this Jennifer Lopez-Marc Anthony deal will produce another record-breaking Spanish album.
