Gravity Rush 2 has officially been revealed to come out with free DLC pack after the developer announced delay of its release. According to the announcement, Gravity Rush 2 will be released in the U.K. and the U.S. on Jan. 20, 2017.
Despite a smooth sailing production process, Gravity Rush 2 release date has been moved to Jan. 20, 2016. In a post on the PlayStation blog, Gravity Rush 2 director Keiichiro Toyama explained that the deferment of the game's installment was due to releases of other games with massive fan base which will fall in the same timeframe they have.

According to a report from IGN, December holiday is not the perfect timing for Gravity Rush 2 to be released as it will be caught in between Pokémon Sun and Moon, The Last Guardian, and Final Fantasy XV which all have an enormous following demographic in these countries.
Amid the immense competition the game will have to go through, Toyama remains confident that Gravity Rush 2 will stay ahead of the pack. After four years of working in the lab, the director expressed that he is proud that they come up with the title.
Gravity Rush 2 Free Story DLC
In a polite response to the delay of Gravity Rush 2 release, Toyama declared that a DLC pack for the game, which was supposed to be for sale, will be given to players for free. The DLC is a story mission added which will take place somewhere in the world of Gravity Rush 2.
The director vowed to give players "many more exciting things in store, including more information about the title and the special animated feature."
Gravity Rush 2: Kat's Story Ends
Gravity Rush 2 continues Kat's story in her journey to the end. Thus, Toyama explained that his team wanted players to have ample of time to dig into the backstory of Kat. On top of that, he added: "As a lot of work went into online features that allow for asynchronous player interaction, we want as many people as possible playing the title at the same time."
