MTV has released a new teaser trailer for the sixth and final season of popular teen series "Teen Wolf." The latest promo clip for "Teen Wolf" season 6 featured major surprises for fans including the much anticipated Stiles and Lydia romance, Ghost Rider villains, improved visual effects, and a lot more.
"Teen Wolf" has enjoyed huge success in its five years of airing, and it is now heading towards its series finale in November. In line with the final season's promotion, MTV released a trailer which mainly focused on Stiles and his budding romance with Lydia, as well as his attempt to escape from the Ghost Riders who, based on the clip, seems more powerful than he is.
The latest "Teen Wolf" season 6 trailer teased how Stiles' final moments with Lydia will turn out before the new villains in the show come to abduct him. He warns Lydia that everyone will come to forget him, but he begs her to try to remember him anyway.
Stiles and Lydia share an emotional scene where Stiles finally tells Lydia his true feelings. A Ghost Rider then grabs him and his friends including his father start to forget him. However, Lydia's instincts constantly bug her, until she is sure enough that she is missing someone important to her. The character was chosen to be Stiles' salvation (being the only one who remembers him) from his abduction because of their special connection, according to EW.
Lydia then starts convincing everyone, their friends and Stiles' father, to try to remember who Stiles is in their lives. The trailer then shows that the people in Stiles' life will eventually remember him, which will lead them to a rescue mission that will bring Stiles and everyone else abducted by the Ghost Riders back to the real world. However, it has not been clear if there will be a reunion for Stiles and his loved ones.
Meanwhile, fans of the hit TV show are still hoping for the character Derek Hale (Tyler Hoechlin) to come back to the series. A number of sources speculate that Derek might be brought back in the final season as he will be the one who will help Stiles and Scott defeat the Ghost Riders.
However, Hoechlin was neither affirmative nor in denial of the speculations when he was interviewed by TheWrap during the Comic Con.
The Ghost Riders
It is not yet clear where the new villains came from but according to the series' showrunner, Jeff Davis, the Ghost Riders are part of a Wild Hunt and these creatures pass through the town to take town folks and make them part of the hunt. He also said that Riders are unlimited in number and they possess the power to wipe a person's existence, which basically explains why nobody can remember Stiles.
"Teen Wolf" Season 6 is set to premiere on Nov. 15, Tuesday on MTV.
