Are We Living Inside The Matrix? Billionaires Think So

Tesla CEO Elon Musk, and some other tech billionaires, showed concerns that we are currently living inside a simulated representation of another world and people must work to find a way to get out. The statement reads like a synopsis of "The Matrix" movies, a Wachowski Brother's film about the same idea.

He's not alone

Independent reported that at least two billionaires are using their resources to find a way, or to try at least, in breaking us out of the "The Matrix." This includes hiring scientists to do the unclear task and unclear set of goals like Neo, Keanu Reeves' character in the movie franchise' final chapter. Apparently, the simulation theory that Elon Musk discussed is famous among the people in Silicon Valley thereby sending the unnamed billionaires to tap on scientists help as mentioned.

One in a billion chance

A report on The Verge had Elon Musk saying during a code conference, that the chance of us not living in a simulated environment is one in a billion. Citing the advancement of computer games technology as a sign of what the future development entails, "If you assume any rate of improvement at all then games will become indistinguishable from reality," Musk said.

It's not a bad thing

In any case that this has got you feeling scared of being true, Elon Musk said during Recode's interview that if this theory is proven false, then humanity's civilization is about to end. "Otherwise, if civilisation stops advancing, then that may be due to some calamitous event that stops civilisation," he said..

Lost in translation

These billionaires, Elon Musk in particular, may have lost us in some areas that we find too hard to relate in real-life situations. The question of us living in The Matrix remains unanswered and the importance of its discovery rests on the people's judgement of the technology's advancement as good or bad. One thing stands true, "The Matrix" movie needs some revisit.
