New visuals for the upcoming "Power Rangers" reboot film, featuring the five Rangers in full costume, have been released. The "Power Rangers" franchise also announced through their official Twitter account that 1,000 units of limited edition Red Ranger action figure will be on sale this weekend at the New York Comic Con. Fans are anticipating the release of the film's first teaser as well as the question and answer portion with the cast and production staff.

Plot and Characters
The upcoming "Power Rangers" reboot film, produced by Haim Saban, follows the story of ordinary high school students Zack, Kimberly, Billy, Trini, and Jason who were chosen to become power rangers to save their town, Angel Grove, and the world. The five must cooperate to fight the alien force trying to obliterate the Earth headed by Rita Repulsa
The Power Rangers ensemble include Dacre Montgomery as Jason Lee Scott, the Red Ranger and team leader; Ludi Lin as Zack Taylor, the Black Ranger; RJ Cyler as Billy Cranston, the Blue Ranger; Naomi Scott as Kimberly Hart, the Pink Ranger; and Becky G as Trini Kwan, the Yellow Ranger.
Other cast members include Elizabeth Banks as Rita Repulsa, the enemy and leader of the Alien force; Bryan Cranston as Zordon, the Power Rangers' mentor; and Bill Hader as Alpha 5, Zordon's robot assistant.
The "Power Rangers" movie is directed by Dean Israelite ("Project Almanac") and is penned by famous scriptwriters including Zack Stentz and Ashley Miller (|X-Men: First Class," "Thor"), Burk Sharpless and Matt Sazama ("Dracula Untold") and Max Landis ("Chronicle").
Kelli Jones ("Straight Outta Compton," "Sons of Anarchy") is in charge of costume design while Weta Workshop ("The Lord of the Rings") is taking care of the heroes' suit design and visual effects.
The "Power Rangers" movie will be released in theaters on March 24, 2017.
