Kim Je Ha (Ji Chang Wook) became a knight in shining armor for two ladies in "The K2" episode 5. Je Ha saved Choi Yoo Jin (Song Yun Ah) once again and prepared a surprise for Go Anna (Im Yoona). Meanwhile, the ratings also went up for the action-thriller cable drama this week.
It can be recalled that "The K2" episode 4 ended on a cliffhanger with Je Ha seeing something on the roof. At the start of episode 5, Je Ha a.k.a. K2 climb on the roof and saw Anna sitting and feeding a cat. It seems like our hero doesn't have the word "sleep" in his dictionary. After his shift, he went straight to spy on Park Gwan Soo (Kim Kap Soo) and his cronies.
Je Ha went to Col. Jo (now JSS chief) and the two drove to the funeral of Yoo Jin's aunt. There's something suspicious going on in the funeral; there were guards at the entrance and they were not letting in people without invitations. Only one driver and one assistant were allowed to accompany Yoo Jin and Jang Se Joon (Jo Sung-ha), so Je Ha and Team Leader So went with them.
There was a family meeting. Je Ha gave Yoo Jin a recorder pen with direct feed to Je Ha and told her to push the button once to start the recording and twice if she needed help. The doors of the meeting room were locked after everyone was in and her aunt's family's guards were posted everywhere.
The attorney read the aunt's will. The entirety of her company shares will be given to a foundation managed by Yoo Jin. Her relatives' face went sour and they started coercing her to give up the shares. Yoo Jin turned on the recorder. Her relatives told her the foundation will hold a board meeting to oust her as chairwoman. Yoo Jin was surprised and accidentally pushed the pen which flew away to her brother's hand. Her brother clicked the pen once and the recording was turned off.
Outside, Je Ha felt something was amiss. Team Leader So said maybe because it was a family topic that's why Yoo Jin turned it off, but Je Ha still barged inside the meeting room. He fought all the guards by himself and triggered the fire alarm. The family members scrambled to get out of the meeting room thinking there was a fire and the sprinkler went on. Je Ha went to fetch Yoo Jin, who was now alone in the meeting room with an umbrella.
Back in the safe house, Je Ha made a surprise for Anna. He left ingredients for ramen, which Anna had been craving for in the last episode. Anna danced in joy and Je Ha was too happy over it. Later, Je Ha got summoned to the company so J4 replaced him in his shift. He was instructed to go to ninth floor (also called Cloud Nine) where only high ranking officials of the company can go. Back in the safehouse, Anna was seen trying to escape while J4 was asleep.
"The K2" airs every Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. KST on tvN.
