Samsung will roll out Android's latest offering Jelly Bean for its flagship Galaxy S3 by the end of the third quarter this year, reveals a recent report. That's not all as the company's two other grand devices Galaxy S2 and Galaxy Note will also receive Android's latest offering anytime in the fourth quarter.
According to SamMobile, the company has already successfully approved the firmwares for the Galaxy S3 and is currently working on a public version of the GS3's Jelly Been update.
In addition, the South Korean company is also working on testing the firmwares for Galaxy S2 and the Note phablet. While the release date of the Android OS update is still not confirmed, the update for two of the bestselling smartphones are almost guaranteed. SamMobile cited its "reliable" insider, who had earlier revealed information about Galaxy Ice Cream Sandwich updates for mobile phones and tablets. It also noted that in case Samsung finally decides not to provide Jelly Bean for GS2, the company will provide a value pack update for the users.
The website also informs that Galaxy Note 2, which is expected to be unveiled on Aug. 29 at IFA 2012 in Berlin, is currently being tested on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The latest inclusion in the phablet family may also run Jelly Bean OS instead of ICS. Even if the latest phablet comes with ICS, for now, it will be treated with the Jelly Bean update early in the fourth quarter.
Meanwhile, Samsung has sent out press invites for the Aug. 15 event indicating that the Korean company will unveil the much-awaited Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet on that day.
