Apple Watch 2 Review: Apple's 2016 Wearable Is More Improved Than Its Predecessor

While the previous Apple Watch is still available, it seems like going for this year's Apple wearable watch is a better choice. The Apple Watch Series 2 is clearly just a more improved version of its predecessor. However, these improvements are some of the most necessary ones. It's clear that the previous Apple Watch has some imperfections that need to be addressed. Now, the Apple Watch Series 2 does just that.

Apple Watch Series 2 Performance

According to a Neowin review, the Apple Watch Series 2 now boots faster. Although the said speed isn't at all comparable to the iPhones' booting, it's still way better than the previous Apple Watch. Furthermore, the Apple Watch Series 2 also offers impressive battery life. It's worth mentioning that this year's Apple Watch is a bit taller than its predecessor. This is because the battery inside it is bigger than the one on the previous model. According to the review, the Apple Watch Series 2 could last no less than 24 hours per full charge.

Apple Watch Series 2 Display

It was said that the Apple Watch Series 2 has a brighter display. This isn't exactly a noticeable improvement. However, if you put the Apple Watch 2 side-by-side with the past model, you'll see how much Apple has improved the watch in the display department. GSM Arena's specs sheet reveals that the Apple Watch Series 2 sports an AMOLED display with 303 pixels per inch density. It also boasts of 3D Touch and 1000 units.

Apple Watch Series 2 Specs

For the wearable's overall specs, it comes with an aluminum/ceramic back and it is waterproof for up to 50m. It comes with a 1.65-inch display and it runs watchOS 3.0. For its processor, the Apple Watch 2 is powered by Apple S2. As for the price, the Apple wearable is said to start at $369.

Apple Watch Series 2 Conclusions

Whether this year's Apple Watch is worth its high price or not, it's still arguable. However, what is certain as of now is that the Apple Watch Series 2 is way better than the previous model. The past Apple Watch is slower and has a darker display. This year's Apple Watch, on the other hand, is faster hence more worth buying.
