Huawei officially confirmed that its newest phone, Honor 6X will be launching on Oct. 18. Amid speculations pertaining its release date, the phone was spotted on a Chinese telecom equipment certification site TENAA last month, giving users a decent glimpse on its hardware specifications.
Honor 6X Specs
The TENAA listing indicates that the device will have a 5.5-inch Full HD display, a Snapdragon 625, 2-3GB RAM depending on variant and 32GB of storage expandable via MicroSD. A finger print scanner is placed on the back while a USB Type-C port is at the bottom, Tech First reported. The smartphone is tipped to be running Android 6.0 Marshmallow and will come with a 3,340 mAh battery.
The smartphone will don a dual-camera setup at the back with two 12-megapixel cameras. It will also have a 2-megapixel camera at the front intended for selfies and video chats.
Honor 6X Replaces Honor 5
The camera set-up Huawei features uses both monochrome and colored camera. It was earlier noted that Huawei P9 uses a dual-camera setup which was developed with Leica. Both the Honor 8 and Honor 6X would also don two cameras at the back but the two smartphones won't be carrying the Leica branding. Huawei 6X is a replacement for Honor 5X and concludes that the new phone retails at the same price with its predecessor.
How Much Will Honor 6X Cost?
Recent reports suggest that the phone will be priced around $200 and will be presented as a mid-range device by the company.
In other news, Huawei recently confirmed that it will be launching its smartphone Honor 8 at its press event in India on Oct. 12. The company will be revealing the pricing and other details at the upcoming event. Honor 8 sports a 5.2-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) LTPS LCD display and is powered by a 1.8GHz Kirin 950 octa-core processor with 3GB or 4GB RAM configurations.
