The hit K-drama series "Jealousy Incarnate" aired its 14th episode last week and fans still can't get over the "climactic" kiss scene between Na Ri and Hwa Shin. Here's a recap of what transpired in the said episode.
"Jealousy Incarnate" Episode 14 Recap: Na Ri Nails Audition
In "Jealousy Incarnate" Episode 14, Lee Hwa Shin was able to get Pyo Na Ri in the studio for her announcer auditions. With very little time left, he gave some useful tips that will help Na Ri pass the test. Meanwhile, Jung Won's effort to stall time by keeping his mother from getting in the studio also paid off as it gave Na Ri ample time to reach the station.
Na Ri's auditions included various tasks such as impromptu reporting, tongue twisters and an unexpected snake prop that will test the composure of applicants. Na Ri was able to nail all the tests and even kept her composure during the snake surprise. Hwa Shin served as her inspiration as she imagined him right in front of her throughout her audition.
Lee Hwa Shin Gets Suspended For Helping Na Ri
Hwa Shin proved that Na Ri really matters to him as he took the risk of turning the chopper around without consent from the station. Originally, he was tasked to go directly to Busan for his news coverage. However, he changed the route to assist Na Ri. Hwa Shin was suspended for a month and will not have a chance to audition as an announcer himself. On the other hand, Na Ri feels guilty of what happened that she confessed to her superiors about Hwa Shin's kind intentions.
Pyo Na Ri And Lee Hwa Shin's Kiss Scene Records High Rating
"Jealousy Incarnate" Episode 14 marks the beginning of Na Ri and Hwa Shin's confirmation of feelings for each other as the two shared an intense kiss following the successful audition. Hwa Shin now bares his softer side on her. Na Ri, although in denial, also gave in.
The scene is so climactic that it reportedly recorded a 15.7 percent in ratings, making it the highest for any scene in "Jealousy Incarnate." According to reports, the viewership ratings for episode 14 recorded 11.8 percent for the national and 14.1 percent for the Seoul National Capital area. It is also the highest rating episode of the series based on TNS Media Korea.
