On Oct. 26, Microsoft will be launching a new operating system of Windows 10 called Redstone 2 for desktops and smartphones. It will enhance the productivity for desktops and added features and bug fixes for Windows phones.
New Features Of Redstone 2
Windows 10 Redstone 2 will have a new Office Hub. It will help Windows 10 and Office 365 to connect and work in a synchronized system. It will help the users to access their emails, documents, events and calendar easily, according to a report from Intenrational Business Times.
Windows 10 Redstone 2 will also bring the One Clip feature. It acts like a clipboard that will be integrated with Office 365 and Windows 10. It allows the users to copy and paste anything from phones to PCs and vice versa.
The third new feature of the Windows 10 Redstone 2 is OneDrive File Placeholders, which will now be called "On-demand Sync." Another update is called People Bar, which acts like a phonebook that is displayed in the taskbar with the active or recent contacts listed.
Fifth major feature is for Windows phone and it is called Continuum. It will modify the phones features with the same as it is on PCs.
Additional features such as independent monitor idle, proximity connect that let the users connect wirelessly on the dock, customize Start screens so the users can create different screens of different devices and PC-like experience for selecting apps that will be on the taskbar.
Updated Start Menu
Most people who have upgraded with Windows 10 have complaints with how complicated the software has been after its predecessors. To maximize the remodeling of Windows 10, Microsoft is focusing on OneCore.
In Windows 10 Redstone 2, it will improve the Start menu. It has modified simple interface for a user-friendly interaction with its users, especially those has not yet upgraded since 2009, in a report on Softpedia.
The live tiles are still available even if it is simplified mode. While clicking the app on its list view, the layout is almost similar with Windows 7 to help its users with having easy access on its Start menu.
Before the Redstone 2, Windows 10 was updated last summer with new features, such as an upgraded Cortana.
