PC gamers for “Assassin’s Creed” have been dealt with a major setback. Reports suggest that the PC version of “Assassin’s Creed 3” is set to be delayed.
Ubisoft, the makers of the best-selling game, have confirmed the report. The game will now arrive on PC on November 23, while the Xbox and PS3 versions will be made available from Oct. 31. The October release does not comes as a surprise as this is the same date that was indicated in a promotional image, which was revealed sometime back.
Ubisoft’s creative lead, Alex Hutchinson, back in July, had revealed in Comic-Con that Ubisoft has a dedicated team working for “Assassin’s Creed 3 PC” and that it will support DX11. However, when asked about a potential PC delay, Hutchinson assured that “everything is going out at basically the same time.”
“Assassin’s Creed 3” is powered by the amazing new Anvil Next engine, which has been designed exclusively for the new game. It was also previously reported that the team of developers spent three years building this revolutionary system from the ground up. The system now provides stunning breakthroughs in motion-capture, face-capture, voice over (a first for videogames), animation, and AI technology, which deliver more realistic character animations and interactions than ever before. It also provides real weather, seasons, and time details, which go on to affect the world around you.
“Set against the backdrop of the American Revolution in the late 18th century, Assassin’s Creed III introduces a new hero, Ratohnhaké:ton, of Native American and English heritage. Adopting the name Connor, he becomes the new voice for justice in the ancient war between the Assassins and Templars. Players become an Assassin in the war for liberty against ruthless tyranny in the most stylized and fluid combat experiences in the franchise to date,” the game’s official page states.
