"Supergirl" Season 2 flew on the airwaves Monday night picking up pretty much where the last season ended. But fans of the show will notice some little changes in the current season. This will make the current season more gripping and exciting.
Fans Will See New Things On The Second Season
One of the most noticeable changes is the new headquarters of the Department of Extranormal Operations or DEO. This was a natural result of the transfer of the film production from Los Angeles to Vancouver, British Colombia.
"Supergirl" Season 2 will also usher in a new set of characters. Some will be friends to Supergirl while others will make her life more difficult than before. For instance, fans will get to know Lena, the adopted sister of Lex Luthor, played by Katie McGrath. Near the end of the premiere episode, a villain will appear - someone who plays the character of John Corben.
A Family Reunion Is In The Offing
The last season teased the fans with images of Superman. But "Supergirl" Season 2 will have the cousin of Kara, Clark Kent, appearing in the first two episodes. Superman has to go to National City to help Kara overcome a threat that is just too much for her to face.
Rather than Henry Cavill playing the role of Supermen, Tyler Hoechlin of "Teen Wolf" is coming to Kara's rescue. He also has the physical presence and charm that the big screen Cavill exudes. This makes him apt for the task required for the awkward but sincere red-caped savior from Krypton.
The finale of season 1 showed a real kiss planted by James on Kara. But fans can't assume that real romance will blossom in "Supergirl" Season 2." Can an alien and a human be together?" asks Ali Adler, the show's executive producer. She added that the current series will explore this relationship emotionally and physiologically.
