Executive Producer Andrew Kreisberg Talks About Superman Joining "Supergirl " Season 2
The upcoming CW "Supergirl" season two has been highly anticipated by its audience especially after it was confirmed that the iconic Superman will be joining the cast in the first two episodes. The role will be portrayed by actor Tyler Hoechlin and executive producer of the show, Andrew Kreisberg is confident that he is the best actor for the role.
There have been reports that in an interview made with Kreisberg, he believed that when he knew Hoechlin, he was just the best man to play the role of Superman in their series. When asked how they are going to portray the iconic superhero of all time that will differ from the adaptation of "Superman" movies but at the same time still have that quality in him.
Kreisberg said that their version of the iconic hero is their own, and not another adaptation to the previous "Superman" movies. Thus, they will be able to play with the role that will make him stand out among the rest, but at the same time still able to present his character well to the audience.
Wonder Woman To Be Joining "Supergirl" As Well Played By Lynda Carter
Wonder Woman is also reported to be joining the series, played by actress Lynda Carter and is currently playing the role of President of the United States. Kreisberg said that her character was supposed to appear during the season finale, but had to move it to the season premiere due to schedule conflicts.
"Supergirl" To Crossover With "Arrow" In Upcoming Season
"Supergirl" has been in a way still belonged to the "Arrowverse" but is currently living in an entirely different dimension. The series has already made a crossover with "The Flash" and rumor has it that it will also do a crossover with "Arrow" in the upcoming season. This was teased by Stephen Amell who posted a photo of his character as the Green Arrow in an encounter with Supergirl.
Fans will certainly have a lot on their plate when "Supergirl" returns on CW this October 10, 2016 and they will finally get a glimpse of Superman.
