'Prison Break' Season 5 New Teaser Photo Released; Shows Michael Scofield Making His Way Out Of Prison

"Prison Break" season five release date hasn't been confirmed yet and fans of the series have been highly anticipating for it already. To make up for the long wait, the executive producer of the series teased a photo of the protagonist, Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller).

Photo Of Michael Scofield Finding Ways To Escape Teased On Social Media

Just early this week, "Prison Break" executive producer Vaun Wilmott teased the fans a little by sharing a photo of Wentworth Miller on set as Michael Scofield. On his twitter account, he shared what seemed to be a screen captured from the upcoming season five of the series. In the photo, Michael is seen attempting to escape from prison as he tries to find a way out of the cell.

This has been the most recent post made with regards to the much-awaited "Prison Break" season five after the official trailer was released during Comic-Con. This has been considered as one of the greatest comebacks on television as it has been talked about nonstop for months now. The fans of the series that have followed the show since their first four seasons have been waiting for this to happen since it ended years ago.

"Prison Break" Season 5 To Have Darker And Heavier Storyline

Dominic Purcell plays the role of Lincoln, Michael's brother, who will be in a quest to save the latter from the prison holding him in Yemen. The actor revealed that the upcoming storyline will be darker than the past seasons and it will be creating heavier storylines. Michael has been through a lot in the past seven years and he may have taken a darker path in life already, awaiting his escape from prison and from the country itself.

Everybody thought the show ended when Michael was presumed to be dead during the season four finale. However, he is now alive, in a prison in Yemen and is trying to find ways to escape as teased in the photo. However, much to fans' disappointment, the network will be releasing "Prison Break" season five as their final installment already.

Wilmott said that however that if the ratings are high, anything is definitely possible. They may be able to extend the show longer than they have anticipated. Nevertheless, the fans are in it for a treat next year when "Prison Break" season five premieres.
