Infinite's L In Talks For Lead Role In JTBC Drama Thriller 'Solomon's Perjury'

Infinite's L might be getting a new lead role. The idol is being considered in the upcoming JTBC Friday-Saturday drama titled "Solomon's Perjury."

"We are currently in the process of considering INFINITE member L for the upcoming drama 'Solomon's Perjury' (tentative title). He has not yet been confirmed," a source from JTBC said Wednesday, Oct. 12, as reported by Soompi.

"Solomon's Perjury" is a drama remake of a Japanese film of the same name based on a novel by Mayabe Miyuki. The two-part crime thriller movie released in 2015 follows the story of a group of junior high school students who must uncover the truth about the death of their classmate.

The story introduces Ryoko Fujino as she returns to Joto No. 3 Junior High School to be a teacher. The principal was giving her instructions and recounts the story of a trial that changed the history of the school. Ryoko smiles; she knows it all well because she was involved in the said incident when she was a student in the school.

The movie goes back to the Christmas of 1990 when Ryoko, then a student of the school, and Kenichi Noda found the body of their classmate, Takuya Kashiwagi, underneath the snow. The case was determined as suicide but Ryoko and the current principal received a mysterious letter saying that Takuya was actually murdered.

The letter lists three suspected murderers, and the death of another classmate led Ryoko, Kenichi and Takuya's childhood friend, Kazuhiko Kanbara, to investigate the incident.

Initial reports claimed Chae Soo Bin was being considered for the female lead in "Solomon's Perjury." However, JTBC denied the news saying they have not yet determined an actress for the main female character.

Infinite's L has appeared in many dramas including "Shut Up! Flower Boy Band," and "What's The Deal, Mom" in 2012, "Master's Sun" in 2013, and "Cunning Single Lady" and "My Lovely Girl" in 2014.

His most recent project is KBS 2TV's four-episode drama "The Day After We Broke Up," a time travel fantasy romance series about an indie band singer who is looking for his girlfriend.
