After Samsung's unsuccessful recall and replacement program for the recent Note devices, the company might just be focusing on increasing S7 and S7 Edge's sale this year. This may not cover all the losses, but it could be Samsung's next best step instead of trying to fix the Note 7 disaster once again. As per recent reports, the company has added a new color variant to the S7 Edge model.
Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Update
According to Techno Buffalo, there has been a leak showing a Galaxy S7 Edge in a blue coral color. It's worth noting that the said color variant was first made available in the Note 7 series. It was one of the top color variants for the phablet and now Samsung is bringing it to the S7 Edge.
As per the leaked photo, it looks like the said color variant will first launch in the US through the Verizon carrier. However, it's also expected that the said model will make its way to the rest of the world soon after. The leaked photo showed a blue Samsung smartphone with a Verizon label at the back and a Galaxy S7 Edge label below it.
Samsung Galaxy S7 News
Recent news suggest's that the company is increasing the Galaxy S7 production following the discontinuation of the Note 7 series. This, of course, comes with the fan-question of whether or not the 7-month old smartphone can have its sales increased at this point in time. Nevertheless, as per recent reports, there is also a possibility for Samsung to release the Galaxy S8 ahead of its time. However, this rumor does not have strong a basis just yet.
As per GSM Arena, the Samsung Galaxy S7 series was released in March. Despite the fact that it is now seven months old, it's still one of the best Android phones on the market. So right now, it's safe to say that Samsung might be making a safe bet as it tries to increase the S7's sale without much effort and capital.
