John Lennon Comic Book Biography: From Childhood To Marriage With Yoko Ono

One of the main events in New York Comic-Con is the unveiling of a new graphic novel about the life of the famous John Lennon. His story from his childhood up to his one of a kind love story with Yoko Ono will be included in the biography. The English version of the comic book biography will be released in May 2017.

French author and screenwriter, David Foenkinos, retells Lennon's life through a story of Lennon and sessions with his imaginary therapist, as stated by the reports. The biography will also tackle his life in the limelight and his decision to go solo.

John Winston Ono Lennon was a part of the legendary boy band The Beatles who is the most successful band in the history of pop music. The band was first named Quarrymen but changed to The Beatles in 1960. However, Lennon decided to go solo after a decade and produced his own albums titled "JohnLennon/Plastic Ono Band" and "Imagine". In 1969 he changed his name to John Ono Lennon, after his marriage with Yoko Ono. He decided to quit the music business momentarily to be able to take care of his son, Sean. A couple of years later, he came back with a new album titled "Double Fantasy." Unfortunately, he was killed just three weeks after his album's release.

In 2012, Lennon's album sold over 14 million copies in U.S. alone and 25 of his singles reached number one on the US Hot 100 chart. He was also voted as 8th in 100 Greatest Briton list of BBC poll and ranked 5th as the greatest singer of all time by Rolling Stone. In 1987, he was included in the Songwriters Hall of Fame and twice in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, as a member of Beatles and a solo music artist.
