Sony Makes Xperia SL Official: New Smartphone Features 1.7GHz Snapdragon Processor and ICS

Sony Xperia SL, till date, was just a rumor but finally the company has quietly acknowledged the existence of the successor of its highly-successful Xperia S smartphone.

Sony has posted the images and detail features of the Xperia SL on its Web site and marked it as "coming soon." The detailed features, however, are similar to that of the rumored ones.

As mentioned in the Web site, Xperia SL will be available in four vibrant colors - silver, black, white, and pink.

Xperia SL will sport a 4.3-inch 720p HD display with Sony's Mobile BRAVIA Engine and 1280x720 pixels resolution and 342ppi. The 144-gram smartphone will have a powerful, super-fast dual-core 1.7GHz Snapdragon S3 CPU and Android Ice Cream Sandwich (up from a 1.5Ghz processor and Gingerbread). The latest Sony smartphone will have its predecessors' 12.1-megapixel primary camera with Exmor R camera sensor and a 1.3-megapixel front camera. The phone will also be loaded with 32GB of memory, of which nearly 26 GB will be user-accessible, and the 1750mAh battery that will support talk time of (up to) 8 hours 15 minutes.
