Pokémon GO Tip & Tricks: How To Assemble Trainer’s Dream Team Of Six Pokémons In Gym Battles

With the most recent update released by Niantic for Pokémon GO, creating a dream team of six Pokémons to train in the gym has been made possible. The recent patches 0.41.2 for Android and 1.11.2 for iOS now allow players to construct a group of six Pokemons, a massive tweak that Trainers will use to take down the enemies in gym battles.

Pokémon New Gym Training Starter

First and foremost, training six Pokémons is just a lot like engaging on a duel with opponents in a team. Tapping on a gym will bring Trainers options to fight. The Glove icon on the lower right hand screen will transport Trainers to the battle. A pop-up will recommend six Pokémons for Trainers to train. Do not worry though because every player has the privilege to alter this automatic recommendations according to one's taste. Do this by tapping on the Pokémon and select the replacement.

Users should always remember to take a look at the Pokémon in the gym first before assembling a set of six Pokémons. Take note of their type and CP before hitting the Go button. When choosing six Pokémons, they must be better than the Pokémon in the other team.

Pokémon New Gym Training: The Prize

Many are interested by now that as Niantic revealed this new way of training in the gym, there are rewards to earn. There are indeed rewards to be earned, but not just the ones many Pokémon GO fans expected.

Many reports before this update pointed out that winning the new gym training might level up the Pokémon. However, it does not. What winning Trainers only get are experience points and gym prestige.

Pokémon New Gym Training: Other Features

Despite the developer's promise of adjusting gym defenders' CP level to match that of the attackers' so Pokémon with low-level CPs will be able to put up a good fight, it was not included in the latest update. According to a report from CNet, the said CP level adjustments in gyms never happened. As of this time, Niantic has not released any official statement yet regarding this issue.
