Pokken Tournament Adds Another Fan Favorite Pokemon To Its Roster

Pokken Tournament was originally released for arcade in Japan and have gained a lot of fans and followers. Early this year, the game finally came to consoles via Wii U. Upon its release, the arcade character options are limited than that of the on-disc characters of the home version. However, after including Darkrai, which was an exclusive arcade character, to the console version, Bandai Namco has announced that it will be adding another fan favorite to the list.

After teasing fans about the identity of the new character for Pokken Tournament, Bandai Namco Entertainment finally announced that the new character is none other than Scizor, the evolution of fan favorite Scyther, which was introduced in Pokemon Sun and Moon. In that game, Scizor was classified as a Bug/Style type Pokemon and became associated as part of the first group of Steel-type Pokemons.

As the evolved Scyther, Scizor will also have enhanced abilities, such as the mega evolution of its Mega Scizor. In the accompanying video, which can be seen below this article, Scizor is seen battling with Pikachu and other Pokemons and his Burst Attack move using his Mega Scizor leaves his opponents helpless. The best display of his power is, perhaps, found at the end of the video when he unleashed his full power releasing a mega burst of energy that eats up almost all the arena. Even his moves are fluid and quick, which will surely make him, even more a fan favorite.

Scizor is slated to join the Pokken Tournament arcade version on Oct. 20. For those who are waiting when he and Darkrai will appear in the Wii U version of the game, Bandai Namco hasn't made an announcement yet. That means those outside Japan will have to wait a little longer to try out Scizor's moves or even Darkrai for that matter.
